COVID-19 | Response

Update: Starting April 26, 2021, we will offer full in-class learning five days a week for preschool to grade 8. Grades 9 – 12 will continue with a hybrid learning model.

Welcome to German International School Boston’s Covid-19 response page, providing information about GISB’s Covid-related policies and procedures below.

GISB conducts weekly mandatory Covid-19 surveillance testing for students and staff in order to identify and isolate carriers of the COVID-19 virus with the overall goal to enhance the health & safety of our community. Surveillance testing is an additional layer of security and will complement – and not replace – our previously implemented safety protocols such as social distancing, mask-wearing, disinfection, etc. For more information about the Covid-19 testing program, please click here.

In summer 2020, classrooms have been prepared, building upgrades made, and safety protocols put in place to ensure the safety of students and staff. GISB meets and exceeds DESE safety expectations to minimize the risk of COVID in our community.

We hope that this information page helps to answer many of your questions, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with further questions or concerns.
