Sarah|7th grade

Our school is very cool! We have 39 nationalities at GISB. Every year families come and go so after a while you have friends all over the world!

Sarah is in 7th grade. Her family has been at GISB for fourteen years — since before she was born! Her older sister Anna graduated from GISB in 2020 and is now studying neuroscience and philosophy at Boston University. Her brother David is now in 11th grade at GISB. Sarah speaks German and English fluently, and is now in her second year of learning French. She plans to build a career around her love of languages sparked by her experience at GISB, her global network of friends, and of course, her family.

Moritz|Kindergarten

I like the teachers because they are so nice and they sing songs with us. I always bring things in for show and tell. I like to share things with my friends.

Moritz is German and has been at GISB for 3 years.  His favorite subjects are English and Art and he is proud that he recently learned to write numbers. He loved the recent Kindergarten project where he made a passport and a suitcase and then “traveled” with his class around the world. Painting a leprechaun in Ireland was especially fun!

David|6th Grade

Mathematician
Hobbies:

David|6th Grade

I used to have problems with fractions. But then one day, when I explained it to my friends, a light bulb just clicked on and I got it.

David is German-Swiss, has been at GISB for eight years and is involved in student government. He has shared his “light bulb moment” with other students and now helps tutor peers in Math. David is passionate about sports and technology. He loves GISB’s opportunities within the regular school day for off-campus physical education, including rock-climbing and swimming.
