Anneke Sallis|Class of 2015

The relationships I formed with teachers at GISB have made me a more confident student. I hold them dear.

Anneke is a self-proclaimed GISB-er for life. After graduation she completed a fellowship in Communications at the School and has been a counselor at numerous GISB camps. She feels that the School helped shape her. In a recent college class about social identities she observed: “We often talk about people incorporating the college they went to into their identity. It always stands out to me that people do not feel that way about their high school, but I do. GISB shaped my character and I will always treasure that part of my identity.”

Anneke plans to go into research in Developmental Psychology. She hopes one day she can apply her research in a classroom setting. “Perhaps even at GISB!”

Tabitha Knoor|Class of 2017

I am now
Studying Economics & Environmental Science at the University of Zurich
GISB taught me
How to be more confident and trust in my own abilities
I miss
The small classes and having a great bond with my teachers

Tabitha Knoor|Class of 2017

The friends I made at GISB I will have for a lifetime

“My first semester at the University of Zurich is going great!” Tabitha speaks of how GISB prepared her well to study in a highly international setting. “I’m glad I’m so used to speaking English because Zurich is so international.” She misses GISB and plans to return to attend the Gala in the coming years.

In the longer term, Tabitha plans to get her Masters degree and she adds, “one day I hope to return to live in Boston again…Go Pats!”
