Children learn through cooperation and investigation in their Elementary years at German International School Boston. In classrooms of first- and second-graders or third- and fourth-graders, teachers will engage your child in building a creative foundation of literacy and numeracy.
A focus in Elementary School is partnering with you to nurture your child’s open-ended and critical thinking, problem solving, responsibility, and love of learning. Small group sizes of 16 or fewer encourage active participation. Teachers tailor material to your child’s unique strengths and needs. Your child will be encouraged to teach and learn from others, building robust friendships and communication skills.
GISB’s Elementary School continues the German-immersion environment of our Preschool and Kindergarten. Your child will begin daily English lessons in the English Center and the Art classroom. For more detail, read an overview of the Elementary curriculum.
