With his background as a physician working in diverse health systems, coupled with 20+ years as a serial biotech entrepreneur, Dr. Frühauf holds multiple Life-science leadership positions (Founder of LabCentral/Biolabs & Partner at BioInnovation Capital) alongside acting as GISB’s current Treasurer.
Karen has had a career in International Education for 34 years. She has worked as an ESL teacher and in Study Abroad as well as held various advisory board and consulting positions. She possesses a passion for cross-cultural understanding and a belief that only through education the world can become a more benevolent place.
Marina started working for the Goethe-Institut in 2008 and has had postings in Hanoi, Munich, and Shanghai. In 2018 she became the director of the Goethe-Institut Boston. Marina will contribute her experience in international cultural exchange, German language education as well as her personal experience as GISB mother.
Living in the US for 20 years, Carolin has vast experience as an international executive and strategist in global business education. She feels honored and excited to be able to actively contribute to creating an environment where every student, faculty, and staff member gets challenged to achieve academic excellence.

Emily is the Executive Director of the German-American Business Council of Boston, Inc. and was formerly Chair of the School Committee of the German Saturday School Boston. She brings her passion for German language education and her knowledge of the German-American community to GISB.
