Ulrike is a Management Consultant with more than 20 years of experience as a project manager. She is excited to contribute her experience to the board, supporting different board projects at GISB. She and her husband have one child at GISB, they all love the passion of teachers and staff as well as the community spirit.

With his background as a physician working in diverse health systems, coupled with 20+ years as a serial biotech entrepreneur, Dr. Frühauf holds multiple Life-science leadership positions (Founder of LabCentral/Biolabs & Partner at BioInnovation Capital).
Roy is an Engineering Leader with 20 years of experience in the IT industry. His three kids attend GISB, and the family enjoys being part of this international community. Roy wants to contribute to making GISB the best place for our students' academic and personal growth, and a great place to work for our faculty and staff.
Karen has had a career in International Education for 34 years. She has worked as an ESL teacher and in Study Abroad as well as held various advisory board and consulting positions. She possesses a passion for cross-cultural understanding and a belief that only through education the world can become a more benevolent place.
Steffen joined the Goethe-Institut Boston in 2019 as Director of Language Programs. He is honored to bring his experience in language education and global cultural exchange to the GISB Board to support the school in its mission to create an inclusive learning community, where all students can achieve academic excellence.
Living in the US for 20 years, Carolin has vast experience as an international executive and strategist in global business education. She feels honored and excited to be able to actively contribute to creating an environment where every student, faculty, and staff member gets challenged to achieve academic excellence.
Martina is a neurosurgeon, educator and the Director of Neurotrauma at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston as well as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. She looks forward to supporting GISB in doing what GISB does best: preparing our children for a future we cannot yet imagine.

Emily is the Executive Director of the German-American Business Council of Boston, Inc. and was formerly Chair of the School Committee of the German Saturday School Boston. She brings her passion for German language education and her knowledge of the German-American community to GISB.
