Adam graduated from Union College in upstate NY in 2017. He received a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Computer Science with a minor in German. Adam enjoys languages and has studied Hebrew and Spanish as well. His two main hobbies are snowboarding and guitar, both of which he has been doing for over 10 years.
Charlotte studied History with a minor in German Language at Boston University. She has been part of GISB since 2010 and coordinates the After School Programs (ASP), Ski Week and vacation camps.
Daniela was born in Bari, Italy. She holds a degree in translation from SSLMIT, University of Bologna and led a translation agency for 11 years in Germany. She also has extensive experience in IT. Daniela has three children at GISB since 2010. She speaks Italian, German, English, and Spanish and loves to travel!
Rachel has over 15 years of experience working in the healthcare field. She has a BA in nursing from UMass Boston and works for Boston College and UMass Boston as a clinical instructor. When she is not working she can be found somewhere in nature or spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading and crafts.
Originally from Germany, Susanne has lived in the Boston area for over 25 years. Prior to that she has also lived in Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Oman. She has worked extensively with other exchange programs in the Boston area and looks forward to supporting all participants of our International Student Program.
Marion holds a degree in English and Journalism. She is German, but has lived in the US for more than 20 years. Her background is in education management, and she also has experience in preschool and international exchange programming. She has been with GISB since 2014.
Tina holds a Master's degree in German Studies from the University of Bayreuth and an MBA from the University Seeburg Castle. She has over 15 years of experience working in the education sector in Germany, Ghana, Australia, Ethiopia, and the U.S. Prior to GISB, she worked at Twin Cities German Immersion School in Minnesota.
Ludger has taught in the Middle and Upper School at GISB since 2015. He holds a Masters in History, Sports and Biology from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg as well as a Masters in World History from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Ludger also coaches volleyball at GISB.
Sara is originally from Boston and has lived and studied in Germany, Costa Rica and Spain. She has a J.D. from Washington College of Law and before moving to Germany, worked as a Legislative Aide on Capitol Hill. When she isn't at GISB, you can find her hiking, biking or traveling. She speaks English, Spanish and German.
Sarah is a professional translator with a degree from the University of Heidelberg. She has lived in Germany, Zambia, Ethiopia, Namibia, Sweden, and now the United States since 2005. She is the Executive Assistant to the Heads of School and Administration, and has three children who attend GISB.
Filippo was born in South Tyrol, Italy and lived in Munich for ten years. He grew up speaking Italian and German and has lived in Boston since 1996. In addition to his role as Technology Director, Filippo is a GISB parent, has served on the Board of Trustees, and teaches Robotics in the After School Program.
Alicia speaks English, German and Afrikaans. Having grown up in South Africa, she moved to England where she became an RN. She also lived in Berlin, Germany but now considers the US her home. She has been with GISB since 2011.
Paula manages financial operations at the School and is originally from the Midwest. She moved to the Boston area to complete graduate studies and never left, working in the financial sector before joining GISB in 2015. Paula has lived and worked in Germany, Austria, and Japan, and speaks German and Englisch.
Claudia is originally from Germany and has lived in the US since 2003. Prior to joining GISB, she oversaw Marketing & Communications at an international school in California. Claudia holds a master’s degree in physics from the University of Heidelberg and has worked in marketing for many years.
CJ retired from National Grid, after 36 years of working in the street division on natural gas facilities. In his free time, CJ enjoys playing sports, particularly tennis, and DIY projects.
Holger is from Germany and studied at the University of Bonn, University of Wales / College of Cardiff and Münster University. He holds a degree in English and Theology. Before joining GISB he was Assistant Head of School and Head of School at a Gymnasium outside Hannover. Holger has three sons and loves outdoor sports.
